iPhone Hackers Taste Apple Ban Hammer

What would you feel if you encountered the message above when trying to login to the Apple App Store? Shocked? Terrified? For iPhone hacker Sherif Hashim, he was somehow not too surprised that Apple decided to ban him from entering the App Store with his ID. According to his message on Twitter:

“Your Apple ID was banned for security reasons”, that’s what i get when i try to go to the app store, they must be really angry!”

He further added:

and guess what my apple ID was, “sherif_hashim@yahoo.com”, what a fool was me not to notice )), can’t help laughing, they are babies

Another fellow hacker iH8sn0w was also affected by the ban hammer. Creator of Sn0wbreeze, he shared his feelings with Sherif:

@sherif_hashim lol, they did that to my ih8sn0wyday[@t]googmail.com too. (right after I posted XEMN)…

Whether you support Apple’s action or not you have to admit that this behavior is very similar to Microsoft banning millions of users from logging into XBOX Live using their modded consoles. Whatever the reason, it is apparent that Apple is banning people who create jailbreaks, and not the jailbreakers themselves… although who knows what would happen in the near future? Time will tell. Let us know if you agree or disagree with Apple’s actions of banning these individuals?
