A Trip to the Moon with Official NASA iPhone App

Fancy a trip to the moon? No, you don’t need to pay exorbitantly to be on board the Virgin Galactic’s plane for a suborbital flight, because all you need is your trusty Apple iPhone – that, and this app called the NASA Lunar Electric Rover Stimulator. Once downloaded, this app lets you assume control over a vehicle called a lunar rover, which kind of looks like a huge buggy, over the surface of the moon. You set up a Lunar Outpost and with your trusty Lunar Rover, you will be able to perform tasks akin to an actual astronaut being on the surface of the moon. One if these activities include ferrying supplies from one outpost to the other, and along the way you will find sprinkles of information concerning the tasks you are about to do.

If you feel somewhat dissatisfied with the offering, there are always other apps such as iRover to fall back on. Granted, the NASA app is free to download while it would cost users $1.99 to download the iRover app.
