Xachi Pets Add One More Reason to Own an iPhone

Submitted by on March 9, 2010 – 1:57 pmNo Comment

Why do people buy iPhones? Is it because of the uber cool gadget that can do everything from amusing you with their many wondrous apps to getting you pregnant and saving your life during an earthquake? If your answer is all of the above, then you may need just ONE more reason to rush out and get your own iPhone now.

Enter the Xachi Pet. Pronounced “ZAH-chee”, this furry little thing was unveiled at the American International Toy Fair and resembles a Furby but more alien-like with a tuft of fuzzy fur on top for hair and two blunt little horn-like things on its head. There’s also an LED screen where its face should be, and did we mention the toy will be controlled by your iPhone?

Lest you groan and say “Not another iToy!”, you should know that its everything you ever wanted in a semi-virtual pet. Not only can you pet and cuddle this irresistible-looking creature (we saw pictures of a blue Xachi but are certain other colors would emerge soon!), you can also make it dance, show emotions, and play games – all using your iPhone or iPod Touch! Learning games can also be incorporated with your very own Xachi – all the more reason to buy one for your kids (or girlfriend/wife) when it’s released for the public later this year.
