5 iPhone Apps For a More Enjoyable Summer

Summer is here and what better way to celebrate than to take a much needed break away from it all. But before you think we’re going to ask you renounce social media and all things Internet on your vacation ala John Mayer’s one-week digital cleanse, you’re wrong. Au contraire, we ask you to bring your trusty Apple iPhone along so that you can enjoy its plethora of applications that can make your summer holiday even more enjoyable!

Here are 5 apps you should download before starting your trip:

1. Kindle app
Why lug around a truck load of books when you can load up plenty of Kindle books to your iPhone? The Kindle app does this nicely especially with the Whispersync technology synchronizes your e-Books from the last page read, even if you did so on your Kindle or other mobile devices prior to accessing your iPhone.

2. Reel Director
Reel Director made iPhone video editing so easy, you wondered why you bothered to waited to edit your vids
at home using your laptop. There’re just so many features to play with – from stitching clips together to create a seamless scene and adding titles and closing credits… Practically everything you need to create a summer “blockbuster”. This can only be done on the iPhone 3GS so perhaps it’s time to upgrade!

3. AccuWeather
Forget the built-in weather app on your iPhone. AccuWeather is a nice iPhone weather app that lets you predict what the weather’s going to be like with their 15-day forecast, plenty of time to plan your holiday in advance. Don’t forget the umbrella or sunnies!

4. ATM Hunter
You don’t want to be stuck outdoors in a vacation with nary a dollar in your pocket. If you are, then the ATM Hunter iPhone app could be your lifesaver.

5. Campfire Tales
Lest you dismiss the Campfire Tales app as a storytelling app for the kids, rest assured that this app is quite entertaining all the same and will appeal to people of all ages. It even lets you press a button for scary sound effects!
