Justice Minister uses iPhone to reference Italian law during live talkshow.

Heads Of State Flaunt iPhone
The number of heads of state that continue to flaunt their iDevices keeps growing. This week Angelino Alfano, Italy’s Justice Minister, used his iPhone to reference Italian law in the middle of a live talkshow on Italian TV.

While speaking on the prime-time television show, Minister Alfano used his iPhone, clad in a patriotic case bearing the Italian flag, to access the app Codici and Leggi and quote verbatim an Italian law on wiretapping.

He is not alone as the list of political leaders using Apple gizmos continues to grow. Russian President Dimitry Medvedev, Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and South Korea’s minister of culture, tourism and sports, Yu In-chon, have all been seen with iPads (though Yu In-chon did not activate his, as they had not been cleared for wireless communication by the South Korean government at the time).

In the US, First Lady Michelle Obama recently used a borrowed iPhone to send her first tweet (with some difficulty).

Not Alone
It’s also alleged that both Pope Benedict XVI and the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II both own iPhone’s.

Next we’ll be hearing that the Icelandic authorities tried to soothe the volcanic eruptions there by sacrificing an iPad.
