iPhone app rejected for the word ‘iPhone’

Netizens around the globe today are talking about the iPhone app that was initially rejected by iPhone Apps Store for bearing the word ‘iPhone’ on its name. ‘ Many thought the decision was arbitraty, and have created a buzz in the online world.

Macworld Editor Jason Snell himself, said on this Twitter account, that their book that talks about iPhone was rejected because of bearing the word ‘iPhone’. This update has immediately garnered negative comments from both iPhone and non-iPhone users tagging the decision as an arbitraty one. The manual the Jason Snell’s team worked on is a guide for iPhone users and is naturally expected to have the word iPhone on it.

Within the day, however, iPhone Apps store changed its initial decision, and approved the app already. Many online users hit iPhone Apps store for being inconsistent, but lauded the approval, anyway.
