What is iPhone App Freelancer?
iPhone App Freelancer is a service that connects freelancer mobile application developers with entrepreneurs and businesses that require custom programming, applications, graphics and development projects for mobile applications, primarily for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Much like an auction, employers' list their application projects and requirements, and interested developers/freelancers post bids/quotations to complete the work.

How do I create a Project or Job advertisement?
After becoming a member of the site you will be able to post as many projects or employment advertisments as you desire. You are required to pay a small listing fee in order to post a project or job advertisement on the site. Please ensure you have deposited sufficient funds into your iPhone App Freelancer account to cover the cost of the listing fee before proceeding. Once you have done so, you will be led through the listing process. Input all necessary data in to the required fields, and on successful completion, your listing will go live!

How much does it cost?
It's absolutely FREE to browse project listing and job advertisements as well as to become a member of iPhone App Freelancer. Freelancers/Developers can post quotations/bids at absolutely no cost. The listing of projects or job advertisements requires the payment of a small listing fee.

What is the process for accepting a bid?
When a Buyer selects a Provider by accepting their bid, in order for the project to proceed, the Provider is also required to accept the project bid (on rare occasions a Providers workload may have changed post bidding and they are no longer able to undertake the project). Once both parties have accepted the bid, they will automatically be sent each others contact information and work can commence. A Buyer can only accept a Providers bid if they have funds in excess of the quoted bid price deposited in their iPhone App Freelancer account (plus a small commission fee). This requirement acts as a guarantee to the Provider, they are assured the Buyer can afford to pay for the project they are commissioning before work commences.

Notification of selection and subsequent acceptance of a bid is sent via email.

Once a bid is accepted the Provider and Buyer agree the terms of payment. The Buyer can pay the provider either by transferring funds from their iPhone App Freelancer account to the Providers iPhone App Freelancer account via the "Manage Account" page or, if they have set up an escrow payment, by approving it via the "Manage Account" page.

The Buyer has complete control over the release of funds to the Provider and can choose to release partial funds to initiate the project and the remaining balance upon completion, or any other variation of payment agreed upon with the Provider.

If your account has insufficient funds deposited to complete a transaction, the account status will become "frozen" and can no longer be used until a positive balance is restored.

If the escrow service is utilized, iPhone App Freelancer holds the entire project funds and will release them to the Provider/Freelancer upon completion of the project.

How do I deposit funds into my iPhone App Freelancer account?
Once logged on to your account, select the "Manage Account" tab at the top of the page and simply select the amount you wish to deposit into your iPhone App Freelancer account and hit the DEPOSIT button.

You will be required to have a PayPal account in order to send and receive funds/payments on this website.

How can I be sure a developer will not just steal my idea?
iPhone App Freelancer recommends both parties sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) prior to the commencement of any development work.

As a Developer, how do I receive notification of new project postings?
Log in to your account, select "Edit Profile" and ensure "Notify me by e-mail when a project gets posted that is relevant to me" is checked. Please be aware that you will only be notified of new project postings relevant to the "Area Of Expertise" you have checked. If you wish to be notified of ALL new project posting, ensure you check ALL the boxes.

How can I communicate with a Buyer/Provider during the bidding process?
Messages can be posted on the "Project Message Board" located just above the "Bids" section on the Project view. Alternatively a private message can be sent by clicking on a Provider or Buyer's name, and then clicking "Private Message" located in the upper-right hand corner of the screen.

Why is my project status showing as Frozen?
There are insufficient funds in your iPhone App Freelancer account to complete a transaction you have instigated. To resolve this issue, please deposit funds to restore a positive balance and full access and functionality to your account.

How much should I bid to complete a Project?
We advise you to ensure your bid is as accurate as possible to enable the Buyer to make an informed decision regarding Provider selection.

If additional project information is required to enable accurate quotation, please use the PM & PMB systems to contact the Buyer PRIOR to placing your bid. It is against our Terms Of Use to place bids of negligible or zero amounts ($0.00) in an attempt to win projects and subsequently charge to complete them. It is also against our Terms Of Use to exchange contact details via the PM & PMB systems (which are monitored) - kindly use the facilities provided by our site for all communication during the bidding process. Failure to do so will result in the termination of your account.

How do I leave feedback for a Buyer or Provider?
This website is intended to be self policed. As a result we employ a user controlled rating system. Both Buyers and Providers are able to leave feedback in the form of a rating (1 to 10 - poor to outstanding) and commenting system.

Users are encouraged to express their opinions regarding their experiences working with other Buyers and Providers to improve and help maintain the high standards customers expect and deserve.

Obviously the higher a users rating becomes, inevitably the more inclined other users will be to want to work with them.
