I'm looking to create an application for sailing dinghys. The application will have a facility for a countdown timer with various count down/up settings. It would utilize the compass and GPS position to accurately determine course and indicate average course variation over the leg of a race course. There would also be the facility to log time and location of protests. The button would also activate a 10 second voice recorder to capture details of the incident including boat number. There would also be a facility for loading the names of marks on the course. The main interface would be a dashboard showing speed, direction, average variance on bearing, mark names, protest button.
It would also keep a track log and have the ability to upload the track log in realtime or cached for later download to a website. The website would be able to display the real time position of all boats logged onto that race and have the ability to play tracks backwards and forwards. The playback facility should also be available within the app.
No map facilities are required for the app. Also, waypoint facilities are not required.
The app would also feature links to the rules of sailing website and the commerce section of the companion website.
Nice to have would be the ability to run on other touch screen, gps smart phones as well. Quote should include web build as well. |
